OUR STORY
The Arts Connector
The Arts Connector was born out of a profound observation by Gabriel Miles, a dedicated arts educator known for founding Gabriel’s Art Kids and The Robert Williams School of Arts & Sciences. Recognizing a significant gap in access to art education within Whatcom County, Miles saw countless children deprived of the opportunity to explore their artistic potential simply because of financial barriers. This realization sparked a vision to create a bridge between young individuals and the world of art, irrespective of their socioeconomic background. With a passion for nurturing creativity and a belief in the transformative power of the arts, Gabriel established The Arts Connector.
This nonprofit organization stands as a testament to the community's collective aspiration to ensure every child, from 18 months to 18 years, has the chance to engage in and benefit from diverse artistic disciplines. Through scholarships and a comprehensive range of programs, The Arts Connector aims to cultivate the seeds of creativity, offering a platform for the next generation to express, explore, and excel in their artistic journeys.
